How about a craft beer and our artisanal burger for Father’s Day?
We’ve just added a new beer from local craft brewers Grimm Artisanal Ales to our list — The Super Going. It’s a gose style beer, which is an ancient German style of sour beer, usually made from more than half malted wheat and the balance malted barley. A Gose is fermented with both yeast and lactic bacteria and brewed with slightly salinated water. The Super Going is bright and tart, with lots of citrus and hop flavors and a hint of sea salt in the finish.
We think it’s a particularly good pairing with our burger. Custom ground grass-fed, Certified Humane Buckley Farms Beef, which we do in a coarser grind to keep the burger from getting too dense, topped with NY Cheddar from 5 Spoke Creamery, some house-made Parsley Shallot Butter, Berkshire Bacon from Fossil Farms in New Jersey, garnished with Sir Kensington Ketchup, Beth’s Farm Kitchen Whole Grain Mustard, cornichons, pickled red onions, tomatoes, lettuce, and crispy shoestring fries.
