Here at PRINT. and The Press Lounge we are always looking for ways to give back to the local community. One way we do that is through our participation in the Citymeals-on-Wheels Citymeals Dineout program.
Citymeals-on-Wheels provides a continuous lifeline of nutritious food and human company to homebound elderly New Yorkers in need, helping them to live with dignity in their own familiar homes and communities.
Citymeals-on-Wheels raises private funds to ensure no homebound elderly New Yorker will ever go a day without food or human company. Last year, our family of contributors helped us bring 2 million nutritious meals to more than 18,000 frail aged in every borough of New York City. In addition, nearly 19,000 volunteers collectively spent 67,397 hours visiting and delivering meals to our neighbors. – Citymeals.org
The Citymeals Dineout program has been around since 1984, and is a wonderful way to “elevate the traditional fine dining experience at New York City’s top restaurants.” We have been a part of the program since 2011, and enjoy providing the program donors with the impeccable service and outstanding food our guests have come to love at PRINT.
As our longest-running fundraiser, the program has raised $16 million, enough to prepare and deliver nearly three million meals to homebound elderly New Yorkers. Each dinner for six purchased through Dineout funds at least 500 nutritious meals, hand-delivered to the homes of our frail aged neighbors. – Citymeals.org/citymeals-dineout
